This shot was taken in westerhever (nordsee) near the famous lighthouse used for the jever beer comercials. I was standing far into the tideland. Luckily the mud was not very squishy and it was possible to walk on it without gumboots. On this day I’ve tested the circular polariser filter with most of the shoots. Its very fiddly to use it especially when lenses are changed often. I this image I reduced the reflections just a marginal ammount to reduce the overbrightning effect of the sun. I think even without the polarizer it would make not that much of a difference. I really like the monochrome look of this image and the soft purple color redition. The tideland seems to continue endlessly.
